The front porch held my summer office, a place where my family would meet the outside world.
frecklefarm was the first catalog to sell one-of-a-kind handmade objects for the home which was written in a story form. I wrote the book in dialog. Unheard of! My cats were the actresses and my farm was the stage. Ten thousand first edition copies were printed. Within two years we had reached 26 million women world wide.
Since our country beginnings from a Pennsylvania farm, so much has happened. The catalog grew into producing our own bedding line through mail-order. It was time to sell the farm and move on. My mission to provide a home for my family was accomplished.
So I took the little kittens that were in the barn, gave them a big hug and said, "Alright little ones we are going to move to New York".
And here we are!
New York has piqued my design side. Little by little I started designing our own fine product line to be classic, understated and elegant.
